The Sun
|
This story will gladden the hearts of the working class Tories who hang on every word of the right wing bollocks dished out daily by the 'nations favourite'.
C&P
The Sun will scrap the paywall on its website just over two years after it was introduced.
Rebekah Brooks (Camerons friend and top arsehole licker), chief executive of Sun owner News UK, told staff in an email it would make its online stories "largely free" by the end of November.
She said the plan would add readers.
The Sun first started charging customers £2 a week in August 2013. Other newspapers charging for access include News UK's Times newspapers and the Financial Times.
Ms Brooks rejoined Rupert Murdoch's News UK in September a year after she was cleared of conspiracy to hack voicemails, conspiracy to pay public officials and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.
She said in the email: "As of November 1, Sun+ customers will no longer be billed for reading The Sun's digital content and we will be transitioning to a largely free world by the end of the month."

But yes, it really is others who hang on everything about the Sun....
The same Sun, and the same Rupert Murdoch that wasn't a problem when it was endorsing Labour and the then Prime Minister was being godfather to Murdoch's kid...

Having never read it, was there any reason at all for anyone to subscribe?
Could they read anything (worthwhile) on there that wasn't available say on the BBC news site or elsewhere?
Bit of a puzzler...

Most Tories can afford £2 a week so I'm not sure why you think they would be bothered about this.

Got to laugh at the demise of their silly paywall idea (how daft an idea was that.) Be interesting to see what happens with The Times.

Any person who reads and believes anything in the papers is a twat, they cant even get the 'facts' in the sports news right let alone the less important stuff.

Pretty much everyone on here called it when they introduced this and now their panicking because they've presumably lost a load of online presence.
This along with them banning newsnow from linking to their articles.
Hopefully their greed will be punished and no one goes back to them.
